Biography
Jennifer Lynn Christie's short stories have appeared in PANK, Memorious, Atticus Review, and elsewhere. She has written book reviews for the Denver Quarterly, Entropy, Newfound, and Full Stop, and for two years she served as the Assistant Small Press Editor for Entropy.
In 2013, Jennifer received her MFA in Creative Writing from Oregon State University, where she also taught writing courses and tutored English language learners. Her master's thesis (a short story collection entitled The Four-Chambered Heart) won the OSU Outstanding Thesis Award, and, in 2012, her short story "The Festival" was selected as the winner of the Salem College International Literary Awards' International Awards' Reynold's Price Fiction Award, judged by Kate Bernheimer.
In 2017, Jennifer was awarded a Best of the Net prize for her short story "Alien Love"; she has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize twice (once for her story "Backcountry Devils" and again for her story "Inside the Cave").
Originally from Southern Illinois, Jennifer now resides in Bloomington, Indiana, where she is the Associate UX Specialist for the HathiTrust Research Center. She lives with her husband and their two cats, Eyeballs the Pup and Galileo James Brown (who is indeed a little man with a very big name).
